About Us

Mission Statement:

The Flint Hills Area Builders Association (FABA) was established in 1977 by a handful of people interested in providing attractive and affordable homes for the residents of this community. The association now has over 30 years of experience and now represents more than 200 members. FABA’s jurisdiction covers Clay, Geary, Marshall, Morris, Pottawatomie and Riley counties and continues to grow. FABA is made up of people from all aspects of the building industry, Builders and their sub-contractors, to be sure, but also landscapers, bankers, realtors, lumber yards, surveyors, insurance companies, and many others involved in making the house a home and those that help make the industry a strong viable one.

Our mission and express purpose is to support the building industry by promoting leadership, provide education, and improve environmental conditions that impact construction. Thereby, we contribute to the social, political, and economic well being of our industry. Our goal is to advance the building industry by providing a strong united voice that positively influences the communities we serve.

FABA is a non-profit trade association with membership in the National Association of Home Builders and the Kansas Building Industry Association. The organization offers a self-insured Workers Compensation Plan that has paid dividends to our members each year of its existence.

The members of the Flint Hills Area Builders Association are dedicated to providing the residents of this community with attractive, energy efficient, environmentally friendly, and affordable homes. We constantly strive to keep up with new construction methods and materials that will improve the quality of life in this already wonderful part of the great country we live in.
